The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Mr Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has said that measures have been put in place to ensure safety of lives and property before, during, and after the Eid-el- Fitr celebration.
A statement issued by the police command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, indicated that Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs have been directed to intensify patrols, intelligence-led operations and visible policing throughout the period.
“Special focus targets sara-suka violence, phone snatching, pickpocketing and traffic offences. Parents and guardians should monitor their wards to curb reckless behavior.

“The command has massively deployed operatives statewide and will work sister security agencies, community leaders and stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and joyous celebration,” the statement concluded.
