A group, Uba Sani Legacy Projects Solidarity Assembly (USLEPSA), has praised Governor Uba Sani for making Kaduna State a model of transparency and effective leadership. They believe his achievements will ensure an easy re-election in 2027. The group highlighted his “no-excuses governance,” transforming the state in just 21 months despite economic challenges and insecurity.

At a press conference in Arewa House, Kaduna, spokesperson Hadiza Mohammed said Sani’s bold leadership focuses on fiscal discipline and measurable results. Kaduna is no longer a place of abandoned dreams but proof that good governance is possible, even in tough times.

The group listed key achievements. In the water sector, Sani invested N100 billion, with N35 billion allocated for 2025, aiming for 100% water access by December. The state cleared a N1.3 billion electricity debt for water treatment plants and paid an N800 million salary backlog for Water Corporation staff.
Infrastructure has also improved. The administration began 78 road projects covering 775 kilometres across all 23 local government areas, with 21 roads completed. The Kaduna Bridge, linking Kabala Costain to Aliyu Makama Road, was revived to ease traffic on Ahmadu Bello Way.

In education, 62 new secondary schools and 2,326 classrooms were built. The state recruited 2,000 teachers, distributed 30,000 pupil desks and 3,700 teacher chairs, and cut tertiary tuition by 50%. In health, 12 General Hospitals are being upgraded, and Primary Health Centres now meet Level 2 standards with new equipment.

Agriculture thrives, with 41,693 farmers receiving inputs, including 240,000 bags of fertiliser via 500 trucks. Modern farm equipment was deployed, and agriculture contributes 42% to Kaduna’s GDP, receiving 9.5% of the 2025 budget.

Sani cleared N6.9 billion in pension arrears and launched a N500 million low-interest loan scheme for civil servants. Kaduna attracted $503 million in foreign investments from 2023 to 2024, signing deals with Huawei and Qatar Charity. Talks with the USA, Italy, and Cuba are ongoing for agriculture, health, and industry investments.

The “A Kori Talauci” programme empowered 5,000 women with grants from N50,000 to N300,000. Vocational cities and the Panteka innovation centre are under construction. Victims of insecurity and disasters received aid. An Executive Order on Financial Inclusion opened over two million bank accounts for rural residents.

Digital reforms and audits boosted efficiency, with the Kaduna Internal Revenue Service generating N19.3 billion in revenue. “Governor Uba Sani didn’t come to make excuses. He came to make a difference. Kaduna has become a benchmark for transparency and purposeful leadership, and the results speak for themselves,” Mohammed said.
