Reggae musician Ras Kuuku has criticised Sarkodie over a social media post he shared shortly after Stonebwoy’s OVO concert, saying the rapper should have been confronted over the content.
Speaking in an interview with 3Music, Ras Kuuku said the post, which featured a physically challenged man walking with crutches, was inappropriate given its timing and the circumstances surrounding Stonebwoy.
“The truth is one; we should always face it and say it. After Stonebwoy’s show, the video of a cripple walking that my brother Sarkodie posted wasn’t good at all,” he said.
The post was shared in late August or early September 2026, shortly after one of Stonebwoy’s major shows. Its timing led some fans and media commentators to interpret it as a subliminal jab at Stonebwoy, who has a physical leg impairment from a childhood accident.
Ras Kuuku said Sarkodie’s colleagues and people close to him should have spoken to him about the post instead of allowing the issue to pass without a response.
“People should have called him to order, ‘My brother, we are all Ghanaians. We are one people. He shouldn’t have done that,’” he stated.
He also questioned why associations concerned with disability issues did not publicly condemn the post.
“Even the associations that see to these things should have come out and condemned that video,” he added.
For Ras Kuuku, the incident raised questions about the way people treat one another despite the emphasis on unity.
“That video alone means we are not one people. That video alone speaks a lot. How can you do that?” he questioned.
