“Poco Lee To Appear In UK Court September 15” — CPS Confirms Sexual Offence Case Remains Active

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in the United Kingdom on September 15, 2026, as the criminal case against him remains active.
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that the scheduled plea and trial preparation hearing, PTPH, has not been cancelled.
“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS Press Office said.
A plea and trial preparation hearing is a stage of criminal proceedings at which a defendant may enter a plea, while the court also considers procedural and case-management issues ahead of any possible trial.
Poco Lee is facing five charges comprising attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The allegations have not been determined by the court, and the entertainer has not been convicted of any offence.
The CPS did not confirm whether Poco Lee remains in custody or has been released on bail. Clarification was also sought from Snaresbrook Crown Court regarding his current custody status, but no response had been received at the time of reporting.
The confirmation from prosecutors follows unverified reports circulating online that the dancer had been released from custody and that the complainant had withdrawn from the case.
Other social-media claims suggested that the matter had been settled outside court.
However, neither the Crown Prosecution Service nor the court had confirmed those reports, while the CPS’ statement that the case remains live and that Poco Lee is still expected in court on September 15 indicates that proceedings are continuing.
The court had earlier confirmed that a reporting restriction is in force to protect the complainant’s identity pursuant to Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
Poco Lee had travelled to the United Kingdom in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
The case is now expected to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15 for the scheduled plea and trial preparation hearing.
