“You have made yourself look like a hypocrite by trying to defend her” — Social commentator, Solomon Buchi bashes influencer Ife Agoro over Lindsay Clancy case

Writer and social commentator Solomon Buchi has criticised entrepreneur and social media influencer Ife Agoro over her comments defending Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother accused of k!ll!ng her three children. Agoro had highlighted Clancys reported struggles with postpartum mental illness, arguing that mothers experiencing severe postpartum conditions need compassion and proper mental health support. Reacting to her position, Buchi accused her of hypocrisy and said mental illness should not make people lose sight of the children who lost their lives.You have made yourself look like a hypocrite by trying to defend Lindsay, Buchi said. He also accused Agoro of presenting Clancys husband, Patrick Clancy, as irresponsible while leaving out what he described as efforts he made to support his wife, including taking paternity leave, working from home and bringing in additional help. Buchi further argued that there was a distinction between postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, saying Agoros framing of the case was misleading. Buchi said his compassion in the case was primarily directed at the three children, adding that mental illness should be understood but should not erase the harm suffered by victims. He also criticised what he described as a perceived double standard in how some people discuss women accused of harming their children compared with men accused of wrongdoing, calling the situation disgusting hypocrisy. Watch VIDEO.I.NG:     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by TIME.I.NG (@dotifidigital) The post You have made yourself look like a hypocrite by trying to defend her Social commentator, Solomon Buchi bashes influencer Ife Agoro over Lindsay Clancy case appeared first on TIME.I.NG.
