The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and member representing Ikeja Constituency II, Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has expressed profound sadness over the passing of Mother-Celestial Olusimi Akindele-Odunmbaku, wife of respected elder statesman and political leader, Cardinal James Odunmbaku.
In a condolence message issued on Saturday, Hon. Kasunmu extended his heartfelt sympathies to Cardinal Odunmbaku and the entire family, describing the late Mother-Celestial as a virtuous, compassionate and deeply God-fearing woman whose life was devoted to the service of God, her family and humanity.
He noted that she was a dependable pillar of support to her husband, standing by him with grace, humility and unwavering commitment throughout his journey in public service. According to the lawmaker, her kindness, generosity and quiet sacrifices touched many lives and will remain a lasting legacy.
Hon. Kasunmu prayed for God’s comfort and strength for Cardinal Odunmbaku, the family and all those grieving the loss, asking the Almighty to grant the departed eternal rest. “Please accept my deepest sympathies, Sir. Odun a jina sira. May the gentle soul of Mother-Celestial Olusimi Akindele-Odunmbaku rest in perfect peace. Amen,” he said.
