This appointment, announced on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, is a fitting recognition of competence, integrity, and decades of meritorious service to education and public administration in Nigeria.
Professor Adelabu is no stranger to trailblazing service. As a renowned specialist in Educational Administration and a retired academic of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, she has shaped policy and built institutions.
Ekiti APC is particularly proud that she served our dear state with distinction as Deputy Governor from 2013 to 2014, bringing scholarship, dignity, and compassion to governance.
Her stewardship as Chairman of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) from 2018 to 2021 further demonstrated her capacity for reform, oversight, and strengthening technical education nationwide.
President Tinubu’s decision to entrust NECO’s leadership to Professor Adelabu underscores his commitment to reforming key education institutions and restoring credibility to our national examinations. We have no doubt that her wealth of experience, administrative acumen, and passion for educational excellence will reposition NECO for greater efficiency, transparency, and global best practices.
