…Why female celebrities prefer wealthy partners, undergo cosmetic enhancements
By Benjamin Njoku
Fast-rising actress Blessing Elias has spoken out on why many female celebrities opt for wealthy partners over those struggling financially.
She believes that a man who’s broke isn’t himself and is incomplete, citing the fear that he might dump her for someone else when his fortunes change. “I can’t marry a man who is broke. When a man is broke, he’s not himself and he’s not complete. You might be his choice at that point in time, but when he starts making it, you’ll find out you’re no longer his choice,” she said.
The actress therefore advised women to opt for partners who are financially comfortable.
Blessing also opened up on why some actresses undergo cosmetic enhancements, saying that producers and directors often prefer actresses with certain physical attributes.
According to her, “they have this mentality of having a particular body type to fit into a project. That’s what’s pushing most of our actresses today to go and enhance their bodies. God gives and takes. I feel everybody is beautiful the way they are. But if you feel it’s something that could give you that confidence you lack within, you’re free to enhance your body.”
Blessing, known for her role in 2019’s “Royal Palace,” says what turns her off in a man are low hygiene, inconsideration, and stifling her growth. The actress, who describes herself as courageous and Godly, admits to being heartbroken once due to giving too much in love and expecting the same in return.
“It taught me to learn and move on. I believe the future holds greater peace for someone like me,” she said, showing resilience and hope. Her parents initially opposed her acting dreams, viewing actresses as prostitutes. But they eventually allowed her to be when they saw her passion and determination.
“They realized it was what I wanted to do, and they gave their consent,” she said, highlighting the importance of family support in pursuing one’s dreams.
