An ex-convict was apprehended by residents of Hospital Road, Akure, Ondo State, while allegedly attempting to break into a shop located close to Aquinas College. According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was caught on Friday morning, August 29, 2025. He was said to be carrying iron rods alleged to have been stolen from women who usually sell their wares under umbrellas along the road. Upon interrogation, the man reportedly confessed that he was an ex-convict who had only recently regained his freedom from prison. He further claimed to be a commercial motorcyclist.
