A man captured on CCTV stealing a laptop worth ₦800,000 from a tech store in Abuja has finally been apprehended after returning to commit a similar crime.
According to social media user @ChuksEricE, who shared the footage and updates on X (formerly Twitter), the suspect had previously stolen five laptops from different shops across the city. He was caught when he returned to the scene of one of the previous thefts, allegedly to steal another high-end laptop.
The viral CCTV footage showed the young man discreetly removing the laptop and concealing it before walking out of the shop. His face was clearly captured, leading to widespread circulation of his image online.
“Hand don clamp am,” the user tweeted humorously, confirming that the suspect has been caught and handed over to security authorities.
