I was in a Bolt Ride Today And Heard this Recent Story I have no idea if it is True Or not but The Bolt Driver Swears it happened !

Benin City, Nigeria – July 2025

In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves through Benin City and beyond, a Bolt driver was brutally murdered and had his organs harvested after dropping off passengers in the quiet suburb of Ogeghe.

The driver, whose name has been withheld pending full family notification, had accepted a seemingly routine trip from the city center to Ogeghe — a village suburb known for its serene environment but increasingly feared due to rising security concerns. What began as an ordinary ride ended in unspeakable horror.

A Ride into Darkness

According to sources close to the investigation, the driver picked up two male passengers late in the evening. The trip ended in Ogeghe, where he was ambushed upon arrival. Unbeknownst to him, the two passengers were not alone — they had accomplices waiting in a nearby compound.

After luring him into a false sense of safety, the group allegedly attacked and killed the driver, then harvested his organs, a crime so barbaric it has stunned even veteran police officers. Investigators believe the act was part of a black market organ trafficking operation.

Shocking Carelessness Leads to Their Downfall

In a twist that almost defies belief, the suspects made no attempt to cover their tracks. They buried the driver’s body in a shallow grave on their property and parked his Bolt vehicle in plain sight — directly in front of their house. Even more baffling, they left the driver’s mobile phone powered on, still logged into the Bolt platform.

Bolt’s internal security team, along with police investigators, used the phone’s GPS signal to trace the location. Within hours, a police team stormed the compound in Ogeghe and made multiple arrests. The car was recovered, and the phone — still ringing with missed calls from family and Bolt dispatch — served as key evidence.

Community in Shock

Residents of Ogeghe are horrified. One local woman, who asked not to be named, said:
“We are not used to this kind of evil. We didn’t know what was happening next door. These boys have brought shame and fear to our village.”

Another resident told reporters that strange activities had been noticed at the house recently, but no one imagined it was tied to murder and organ trade.

Bolt Issues Warning to Drivers

In response, Bolt Nigeria has issued a red alert to all drivers, urging them to avoid long-distance or unfamiliar trips to isolated locations — especially at night — without verifying passenger identities. A spokesperson from the company said:

“This is a devastating loss. We are cooperating with the police fully and working on enhanced security protocols for our drivers. We urge all drivers to share their live location with family or colleagues and to report suspicious behavior immediately.”

Police Vow Justice

The Edo State Police Command has vowed to bring all perpetrators to justice. Preliminary reports indicate the arrested suspects are part of a wider criminal syndicate operating in and around the city. Organ trafficking, though rare in recent years, appears to be making a sinister comeback.

Detectives say investigations are ongoing, and forensic examinations are being conducted on the recovered vehicle and site of the crime. More arrests are expected.

This story is developing. Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact the Edo State Police Command or Bolt Nigeria’s emergency line.

Let this serve as a tragic reminder: no ride is worth your life. Stay alert. Stay safe.
