It is with a heart weighed down by grief and reverence that I mourn the passing of our former President, Muhammadu Buhari—a man whose life was the embodiment of discipline, humility, and unwavering patriotism.
President Buhari was not only a towering figure in Nigeria’s history but a rare soul. Stoic, incorruptible, and deeply devoted to the soul of this nation. His leadership was marked not by flamboyance, but by a quiet, resolute strength that steadied Nigeria through its most defining moments.
Having had the honour to serve under him, I saw, up close, the inner workings of a man who bore the weight of Nigeria with grace and God-fearing resolve. He led not for applause, but from a place of deep responsibility. His presence was serene, almost saint-like; his intentions always pure.
To his family, the people of Daura, and the millions whose lives he touched, I offer my deepest condolences. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he walked this earth with dignity and left it draped in honour.
As we lay to rest this giant of history, let us rise with renewed commitment to the ideals he stood for. He was an emblem of sacrifice, service, and an unshakable belief in the promise of Nigeria.
May his soul find eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus, and may his legacy light the path forward for a new generation of Nigerian leadership.
