A Benue State High Court has restrained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), its agents or privy from conducting the August 31st state congress.
Justice Theresa Igoche who granted the exparte on Thursday also restrained the PDP from accepting any list of local government executives from last Saturday’s local government Congresses held in 15 local government areas of the state.
The court further restrained the party from conducting any local government congresses in Makurdi, Logo, Ukum, Gwer East, Gwer West, Ado, Apa, Agatu, Otukpo, Vandeikya, Katsina-Ala, Oju, Obi, Okpokwu and Ogbadibu local government areas, pending the determination of the suit challenging the outcome of the exercise.
Justice Igoche haven listened to the plaintiffs, Igbawua Aondover Alfred and 12 others against the PDP, the Acting National Chairman and three others, fixed August 29th to hear the motion on notice registered as MHC/1589M/24.
