If you know the Lord Jesus Christ, please know that those who surf here frequently, have been praying for you. It is our heart felt desire that you would pray, for two things: to love and glorify God, and, that the Holy Spirit would be poured out upon us…

Not just to learn about prayer, but, to really pray. Not just to biblically affirm the blessings, promises, and commandment of God to pray ; but, after meditating in God’s Word, to truly respond by waiting upon Him, in prayer. Not just to share methods and disciplines of prayer; but, to purposely translate these into a life of prayer, by praying. None of these things become truly fruitful, until we pray [John 15:7,8]. Precious little becomes “heart knowledge”, until we humble ourselves in His presence, focus our whole being on Him, and listen. It is in prayer alone that God teaches each of us, personally, how to pray, what to pray, why to pray. Essentially, Prayer is learned by Praying.
Dick Eastman said it very well :
“We learn prayer’s deepest depths in prayer, not from books. We reach prayer’s highest heights in prayer, not from sermons. The only place to learn prayer, is in prayer, bent and broken on our knees.”
— “No Easy Road”, Dick Eastman
C. H. Spurgeon expressed this point a little differently :
“Prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer – pray till you can pray.”
— “Order and Argument in Prayer”, Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit 1866 (Vol. 12), sermon no. 700, by Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Jesus said it perfectly :
…when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” — [Matt 6:6]

There are a few things our Lord Jesus said about prayer, which many of us tend to not fully appreciate. One of these is the nature, and implications, of “corporate” prayer, or, “praying with other Christians”. Jesus said :
“Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” [Matthew 18:18-20]

In Acts chapter 1 and 2, we see that the first fruits of such activity was great revival. This is the inevitable result of unified, persevering, Holy Spirit led, corporate prayer. At the heart of this web site, is the belief that this sort of prayer, will only happen, when we are practicing the first purpose expressed above. It will be as fruitful, as natural, as sure, as our consistent devotion to know, glorify, and love God more, by praying in secret, and then by praying together.

Dear brothers and sisters, we beg you to seek the Lord in prayer

It is suggested that you begin to pray NOW. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, and to bless you with a prayer life that glorifies Him. He loves us, and wants to show us Himself in prayer, more than we might possibly imagine, so trust him to accomplish this, in Jesus name. Then perhaps try any of the links in the top, or left side menu, or, any “bright green underlined text”, in any page, that looks promising. Our intent here is only to encourage that you go to God yourself, and let Him reveal the immeasurable riches of His loving presence. Whatever attracts your attention, plus inspires your desire to pray, ACT upon it, by praying. Don’t delay – the sooner you leave this site, to fully enter your prayer closet, the better!
